My Grad highlights

Grad ceremonies are not my favourite events to be at simply because they are awfully prolonged with speeches that nobody will probably remember a little while after the event, and not forgetting the fake grins on the faces of your professors and colleagues (especially the once you were almost convinced hated your guts). Last Friday was my graduation ceremony and I was extremely hesitant to go but in the end I actually had a blast. Oftentimes I'm quite the shy type, not so much the centre of attention and so getting on stage to receive the little tap on the back from the chancellor was very never-wracking. Despite the knee-shaking moment I had awaiting for my name to be called, I made it off the stage successfully without tripping or falling (my worst nightmare!). So glad it's over.
