To cut or not to cut...

Found this dress in one of my fav vintage shops over the Christmas break. I'm very much in love with it but I'm yet to alter it. I'm thinking it would be crazy if I don't alter and cut it short but what do you guys think?? Should I cut it super short or just knee length???
Ps: Had fantasies about NYFW 2011 this week, I wish I was there :(
Have a fab week and stay warm!

the dress is so beautiful. i vote for you to keep it at the length it is. It looks elegant just the way it is.

Dont cut it. Cutting it would make it look ordinary (there are a lot of dresses that look like that, but differen materials). Leaving it this length makes it more unique :).

ps: hope church was great! stayed home to study :(

Maybe take it to the knees, cause then it's still classy, but still a great piece on a night out...x

please do not cut it.I think the length is what sets it apart! You look so gorgy in it

The original length IMO is fine now. But if you don't the current length, I said just below the knee. Anything too short won't work as you age. And this looks like a piece you can have for years.

After reading the other comments, I was contemplating giving my opinion. Everyone is saying to leave it at this length. I think you're a very young girl & it looks too "old" for you at the current length. I say have it altered shorter. Hell, I'm older than you & I would wear it shorter myself...just my opinion. Whatever you decide, make sure you give us an update!!

I thought I would comment on the insane fierceness of the shoes. I vote you wear it like this until you get bored and then CHOP. That's what I do!

Don't cut... Because all the "cachet" and the vintage touch is on this length...

It's really nice. I agree with Prissy. So I vote for you to alter it a little.

I'd say not to cut it. longer skirt/dresses are actually in now and plus the length keep it the vintage style it is

Great find! I love the color. I think you should shorten it but keep it right below the knee or right above the knee. I also think taking in around the hips to make it mimick a pencil skirt would look great. I can't wait to see what you decide.

The dress is gorge. I think you should cut it just to the knees. Lovely blog. x.

This post has taught me something: Don't judge! I'd never ever think of wearing this dress; but look how awesome it looks with a short skirt. Love that. Looks so...early 90s lol

First off your legs are DOPE

Second I like it long but if taken in slightly it would look spectacular either way is a good look
